QuintessenceLabs announced today that Jon Nicholson, a former Westpac executive, has joined its board of
directors, effective March 1 2015, taking the number of board members at QuintessenceLabs to four. Jon brings to
the board a tremendous breadth of experience in banking, which will be very valuable to support QuintessenceLabs’

Minister of Australia.
Jon continues to serve as Chairman of the Westpac Foundation, which is the bank’s major philanthropic vehicle. He
is also a Director of the Cape York Partnership and the Westpac Bicentennial Foundation.
Dr Peter Shergold, Chair of QuintessenceLabs, strongly welcomed the appointment: “Jon’s extensive experience,
strategic insight and integrity will add great value to Board discussions. His understanding of our customers’
perspective will be particularly useful.”
“QuintessenceLabs is one of Australia’s most exciting, genuinely science based emerging companies. It is providing
